Jimmy Tiger, a member of the Seminole community in Saint Lucie, Florida, met a tragic end on February 14, 1889. His death was part of a larger incident known as the Jim Jumper massacre, or Bluefields massacre, which occurred at a Seminole Indian camp northeast of Lake Okeechobee. The massacre was perpetrated by Jim Jumper, a biracial Seminole, who killed several members of the Seminole community before being killed himself by another Seminole.
