On a late summer evening in Baltimore, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. Matthew Wood, a 21-year-old Black male, was shot in the head on Friday, August 23, 2013. The fatal incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of Brendan Avenue.
