In the autumn of 2009, a violent encounter on a Baltimore street set in motion a tragedy that would take years to culminate. On September 25, 2009, Gregory Commissiong, a 43-year-old Black male, was shot at 1100 East 25th Street. The wounds he sustained that day began a long and arduous health battle.
