Arthur Allen Amos, a Deputy Sheriff with the Collier County Sheriff's Office in Florida, tragically lost his life on December 3, 1979, at the age of 40. On that fateful day, Deputy Amos and another deputy responded to a report of gunshots at the Immokalee Ranch. Upon arrival, they encountered two juveniles who had illegally killed a hog.
