Nelson Barrios, aged 46, tragically lost his life on August 20, 1982, in Miami, Florida, during a horrific mass shooting incident. The perpetrator, Carl Robert Brown, a former schoolteacher, carried out a rampage at a welding shop where Barrios worked as a welder. Brown, who had a history of mental health issues, had been dismissed from his teaching position and was undergoing psychiatric treatment. Despite this, he managed to purchase firearms and ammunition shortly before the attack.
