On January 10, 1984, Bailiff William Arnold 'Arnie' Wilkerson, aged 60, was tragically killed in a shooting at the Orange County Courthouse in Orlando, Florida. The incident occurred when Thomas Provenzano, who was scheduled for a disorderly conduct hearing, smuggled a firearm into the courthouse. Provenzano, heavily armed, managed to bypass the courthouse's security and initiated a shooting spree.
