Emily Gilbert, a 73-year-old woman from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, died on March 4, 1985, due to a gunshot wound to the head. Emily, who was suffering from Alzheimer's disease and osteoporosis, was killed by her husband, Roswell Gilbert.
