Ruth Greene, a 67-year-old woman from Palm Bay, Florida, tragically lost her life on April 23, 1987, during a horrific shooting spree. On that fateful day, William Bryan Cruse, a retired librarian, went on a murderous rampage at two shopping centers in Palm Bay. Cruse, who had a history of conflicts with his neighbors and was known for his erratic behavior, opened fire indiscriminately, killing six people and injuring fourteen others.
