Christopher Reyka, a 51-year-old white male, was a sergeant with the Broward Sheriff's Office in Florida. On August 10, 2007, he was tragically shot and killed while conducting a routine check on license plates for possible stolen vehicles outside a Walgreens in Pompano Beach, Broward County.
