Sergeant Ronald Hamlin Harrison, a 55-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 15, 2007, in Brandon, Florida. Sgt. Harrison was a dedicated member of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. On the night of his death, he had just completed a DUI checkpoint and was driving his patrol car when he was fatally shot.
