Anthony E. Forgione, a 33-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on July 22, 2008, while serving as a Deputy Sheriff for the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office in Florida. Deputy Forgione was involved in a critical incident where he was attempting to arrest a suspect who had escaped from custody during a mental evaluation at a local hospital.
