Deputy Sheriff Jonathan Scott Pine, a 34-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on February 11, 2014, in Orlando, Florida. Deputy Pine was responding to reports of car break-ins in a gated community off South Apopka Vineland Road. Upon arrival, he and other deputies encountered a suspect who fled on foot.
