Taylor Caldwell, a 27-year-old resident of West Palm Beach, Florida, tragically lost his life on March 3, 2014. Caldwell was shot multiple times while riding a Palm Tran bus. The incident occurred after he and the assailant, Carvel Glenmore Beadle, disembarked at a bus stop in the 3400 block of Broadway. Surveillance footage captured the moments leading up to the shooting, showing Beadle shooting Caldwell in the back several times on the sidewalk.
The attack appeared to be random and unprovoked, with no prior interaction or conflict between the two men. Beadle later claimed that he had been dealing with anger issues and that Caldwell reminded him of a police officer with whom he had previous negative encounters.
Following the incident, Beadle was arrested and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and carrying a concealed firearm.
