In the cold of a Baltimore winter, a life was cut short, leaving behind questions that linger to this day. Kendrick Martin, a 41-year-old Black man, was killed on Saturday, January 25, 2014. The incident that led to his death unfolded on the 200 block of North Payson Street in the city.

Reports from the time indicate that a disagreement escalated into a fatal encounter. During the dispute, Martin was stabbed. The wounds he sustained proved to be fatal, and his life was tragically ended.
