Carson was found unresponsive and bleeding in his taxi cab on West 27th Street around 7:45 a.m. that morning. Despite the immediate response from law enforcement and emergency services, Carson was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation revealed that he had been shot while sitting in his Gator City Taxi cab, leading to his untimely death.
