David Colon, a 72-year-old resident of Tamarac, Florida, was found dead on September 30, 2014, in Sunrise, Florida. His body was discovered alongside that of his girlfriend, Emma Dominguez, aged 71, outside an apartment building in the Sunrise Lakes retirement community. The initial investigation by the Sunrise Police Department suggested that the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.
