In the early hours of a Saturday morning, the life of Alvin Purcell Wells, a 39-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On September 20, 2014, Wells was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body in the 6500 block of Holabird Avenue in the Dundalk area of Baltimore, Maryland. The shooting occurred at approximately 12:14 a.m. outside of a well-known local restaurant.
