Ellyaher Lanza, a 23-year-old from Dania, Florida, tragically lost his life on September 7, 2015, in a fatal shooting incident outside a Winn-Dixie supermarket. The incident occurred on Labor Day evening when Lanza was walking towards the entrance of the supermarket with a friend. Jeffrey Collie, a 71-year-old U.S. Army veteran, confronted Lanza, accusing him of damaging his red pickup truck.
