Andrew DaVon Jones, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on the evening of February 5, 2016, in Clermont, Florida. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Publix supermarket located in the East Towne Center at 13900 E. Highway 50, near County Road 455. Emergency personnel pronounced Jones dead at the scene. Witnesses reported seeing Jones' chest covered in blood as emergency officials attempted CPR for approximately 16 minutes. Despite their ...
