Markez Jones, aged 24, was fatally shot on March 2, 2015, in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident took place on West Lafayette Street in the city’s western district. He was found at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds, and despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries. This area, like many parts of Baltimore, has faced persistent issues with gun violence, and Markez's death was part of a particularly violent period in 2015, a year marked by an alarming increase in homicides.
