Michael Zaldua, a 21-year-old Florida International University (FIU) student and freelance photographer, was tragically shot and killed on December 2, 2016, in an off-campus parking garage connected to the 4th Street Commons apartment complex in Sweetwater, Miami, FL. The crime scene was particularly gruesome, with cash scattered around Zaldua's body, a loaded Glock magazine nearby, and a firearm found inside his jacket pocket.
