Eric Russel Noyes, a 53-year-old resident of Winter Garden, Florida, was reported missing in February 2017. His body was discovered on February 27, 2017, in a wooded area on Lower Matecumbe Key, part of the Florida Keys. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Winter Garden Police Department, had been actively searching for Noyes after receiving information from a cell phone ping that indicated his location on the island.
