She was known for her kind and generous nature, and she was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her untimely death was a result of a murder-suicide incident involving her ex-boyfriend, Kai Williams.
On the day of the incident, police received a 911 call reporting a break-in at Larissa's home in Poinciana, Florida. Upon arrival, they found Larissa had been fatally shot by Kai Williams, who then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide in the street as police approached. This tragic event highlighted the severe issue of domestic violence, as Larissa had previously obtained a restraining order against Williams due to his violent and unstable behavior.
Kai Williams had a history of stalking and harassing Larissa. He had been arrested twice in the year leading up to the incident, once for aggravated stalking and again for violating the restraining order Larissa had against him. Despite these legal measures, Williams continued to pose a threat to Larissa and her family. In the months before her death, Larissa and her mother had filed multiple domestic-violence injunctions against Williams, who had slashed her car's tires and set her vehicle on fire in the Liberty High School parking lot.
