Metosha Godwin, a 50-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on June 17, 2017, in Tampa, Florida. The incident occurred at the Tampa Super Shop gas station on East Lake Avenue. According to reports, Tampa Police responded to a shooting at the gas station shortly after 11:00 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Metosha Godwin suffering from gunshot wounds and immediately began life-saving measures until Tampa Fire Rescue paramedics took over.
