Carmen Marie Schentrup, a 16-year-old female student, tragically lost her life on February 14, 2018, during the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Carmen, who was of Caucasian ethnicity, was an exceptional student, recognized as a National Merit Finalist and known for her academic excellence and vibrant personality.
