Darian J. Elwin, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 25, 2018, in Orlando, Florida. The incident occurred at the Central Station on Orange apartment complex, where Elwin was fatally shot three times with an AR-15 rifle. According to reports, Elwin and his girlfriend, Kayla Davis, 24, had a dispute over money with Marquel Dock, 24, which escalated into a violent confrontation.
Elwin, armed with a handgun, and Davis, armed with a knife, stormed Dock's apartment in the early hours of the morning. Dock, who had been warned about the couple's intentions, was prepared with a rifle and fired at Elwin in self-defense after being menaced with their weapons.
