Leon D'Shawn Bennett, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on June 24, 2018, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Bennett, an aspiring rapper known by his stage name Lee Kahn, was walking along 1st Street North when he was approached by several men in a white four-door vehicle. Following a confrontation, one of the men shot Bennett, who then collapsed onto a parked car in front of his girlfriend. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Bennett succumbed to his injuries.
