Cynthia Stack, aged 52, and her 22-year-old son, Sean Stack, were tragically found shot to death in their Orlando, Florida apartment on July 18, 2018. Amelia Bissoon, a 25-year-old Chase Bank employee, and her husband, 28-year-old Joshua Ramsawmy, were charged with first-degree murder in connection with their deaths.
Bissoon had been managing the bank account of Cynthia's father, who suffered from dementia and a traumatic brain injury. She exploited his condition to draft two $25,000 checks from his account, which were then deposited into accounts opened by Ramsawmy.
Cynthia Stack began to question the suspicious transactions involving her father's account, which led to the fatal confrontation. Ramsawmy purchased a gun and used it to kill both Cynthia and her son in an attempt to cover up the theft.
