Aija Rai Hunter, a 24-year-old African American woman from Houston, Texas, tragically lost her life on October 31, 2018, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Hunter was in Florida as part of a group assisting with the Hurricane Michael recovery efforts. On the evening of October 31, she was fatally shot at a Greyhound bus station.
