Alec Emilio Hammers, a 22-year-old man from Apopka, FL, was tragically shot and killed on February 8, 2019. The incident occurred during a drug deal that turned into a robbery. Hammers and a friend went to a home on South Ocean Avenue to sell cannabis to Rafael Ian Rojas, a 19-year-old man. The friend had previously engaged in drug transactions with Rojas, but this time, Rojas insisted they come inside the house, which was unusual compared to their previous dealings.
