Jermaine Cummings, a 38-year-old African American man from Saint Petersburg, Florida, tragically lost his life on May 12, 2019. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. near 29th Street South and 17th Avenue South. Jermaine was attempting to break up a fight when he was fatally shot. Despite the presence of several witnesses, many fled the scene when the shots were fired, complicating the initial investigation.
