Annie Gentles, a 70-year-old African American woman from Miami, FL, was tragically killed on July 14, 2019, during a home invasion robbery. The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. at her residence in the area of Northwest 61st Street and 12th Avenue. Annie Gentles was fatally shot during the invasion, and another resident, her son Deangelo Mitchell, was also shot but survived and was listed in stable condition.
