Natisha Covert, a 36-year-old mother of eight, tragically lost her life on June 21, 2020, during a large block party in Waldo, Florida. The event, which drew a crowd of 400 to 500 people, turned deadly in the early hours of the morning when gunshots rang out. Covert was struck by a stray bullet and succumbed to her injuries despite efforts to provide medical aid.
