On June 10, 2021, Litha Varone, aged 69, tragically lost her life in a shooting incident at a Publix supermarket in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. She was accompanied by her 23-month-old grandson, Sam Varone, who was also killed in the attack. The shooter, identified as Timothy Wall, a 55-year-old man with a history of mental illness, opened fire inside the store before turning the gun on himself. This horrific event left the community in shock and mourning.
