Caroline J. Schollaert, a 26-year-old white female, tragically lost her life on August 3, 2021, in Jacksonville, FL. Caroline was a dedicated member of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving in the Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron. On the morning of her death, she confronted a thief attempting to break into her car outside her Riverside home. While on the phone with a 911 dispatcher, Caroline was shot multiple times by the burglar and succumbed to her injuries shortly after.
