Jamonica Williams, a 28-year-old resident of Jacksonville, Florida, tragically lost her life on April 29, 2022. She was found shot to death in her Arlington apartment, along with her siblings, Johnisha Williams, 33, and Jordan Williams, 30. The three siblings were discovered by police at the River City Landing Apartments following a welfare check prompted by reports of gunshots and screaming.
The incident was a devastating blow to their family, who described the siblings as inseparable, often referring to them as "The Three Musketeers" due to their close bond.
The primary suspect in the case was Terrell Lewis, the boyfriend of Johnisha Williams and the father of her 8-year-old son. Lewis was charged with three counts of second-degree murder for the killings of Jamonica, Johnisha, and Jordan. The motive behind the murders appeared to be rooted in domestic violence, as Lewis had a history of such behavior, including a 2016 domestic violence injunction obtained by Johnisha. Following the shootings, Lewis kidnapped his son, prompting an Amber Alert. The child was found safe a few hours later, and Lewis was subsequently arrested.
In addition to the triple homicide, Lewis was also implicated in a separate murder that occurred 41 days earlier. He had killed Deja Daniels in a road rage incident, further highlighting his violent tendencies. Lewis eventually pleaded guilty to all charges, including the murders of the three siblings and Deja Daniels. He was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the triple homicide and an additional 25 years for the road rage killing. The case brought some measure of closure to the grieving family, although the loss of Jamonica and her siblings remains a profound tragedy.
