On August 14, 2022, Anaysha Donjoie, a 20-year-old female from Lauderhill, FL, was tragically shot and killed in Pompano Beach, FL. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 3:09 a.m., when Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) deputies responded to two ShotSpotter alerts in the area of North Cypress Road and Copans Road. Shortly after, Anaysha Donjoie called 911, reporting that she had been shot and was driving herself to Broward Health North hospital.
Unfortunately, she crashed her vehicle into a tree on the hospital grounds and was brought into the hospital by emergency room staff. Despite the doctors' efforts, Anaysha Donjoie was pronounced dead at 3:24 a.m.
The investigation into the murder of Anaysha Donjoie, a young African American woman, was extensive and lasted several months. Detectives from the BSO Homicide Unit worked diligently to identify the suspect. Their efforts led to the identification of Irvin Delisma, a 22-year-old male from Pompano Beach, as the perpetrator. In November 2022, a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with Anaysha Donjoie's murder, and he was subsequently charged with first-degree murder.
