Born on May 18, 1981, in Kendallville, Indiana, Shane was known for his passion for tinkering with vehicles, his love for the Chicago Bears, and his enjoyment of NASCAR. He moved to Florida in 2012 and worked as a truck driver for Road Master. Shane was described as a kind-hearted individual who never met a stranger and was always willing to help those in need.
