Willie Douglas Jr., a 45-year-old African American man, was tragically killed on August 27, 2022, in Ocala, Florida. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the Happiness Homes subdivision, a historic neighborhood within the city limits. Law enforcement officials reported that Douglas was struck multiple times by gunfire and was found deceased in the middle of the road along a dead-end street.
