managed to inform the deputies that a man he knew as "KB," who had multiple facial tattoos, was responsible for the shooting and had fled the scene in a white SUV.
The investigation quickly led to the arrest of two individuals, Juan Rodriguez, 32, and John Crist, 28. Rodriguez matched the description provided by Greenman Jr. and was detained along with Crist after deputies spotted their white SUV speeding away from the scene. It was revealed that Rodriguez had been driving Crist home from Immokalee when Crist asked him to stop at the victims' house to collect money he was owed. Rodriguez waited in the car while Crist went inside, and shortly after, Rodriguez heard several gunshots. Crist then returned to the car, and they sped away from the scene.
Both Rodriguez and Crist faced multiple charges, including second-degree murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and shooting into a dwelling. They were taken to the Collier County Jail, and the investigation remained active as authorities continued to gather evidence and piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
In addition to the criminal case, Jacqueline Pattinson had a history of legal issues. She had been involved in a criminal lawsuit filed in Collier County Courts on January 8, 2021. The case, overseen by Judge Shannon H. McFee, involved charges of indirect criminal contempt of court. Pattinson was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 90 days in county jail, with 80 days suspended upon completion of 10 days. She also faced court costs and fines, which were sent to collections.
