Officer Charles H. Sorenson, a 32-year-old member of the California Highway Patrol, tragically lost his life on March 15, 1963, in Rio Vista, California. On that fateful day, Officer Sorenson was on patrol when he received a radio call about a robbery in Lodi. He soon spotted the suspect vehicle and initiated a pursuit.
