Willie Lee Sykes Jr., a 47-year-old resident of Willowbrook, California, tragically lost his life on July 17, 2009. Sykes was shot multiple times in the 2000 block of Nord Street in Compton, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County coroner's office. The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m., and despite efforts to save him, Sykes succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
