Deshawn Childs, a 38-year-old man from Willowbrook, California, was tragically shot and killed on September 26, 2015. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:40 a.m., in the 12300 block of Wilmington Avenue in the Florence-Firestone area. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Childs was found on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds when Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
