On January 6, 1964, Officer Charles E. Manning, aged 43, tragically lost his life while on duty in Broadmoor, California. At approximately 11:40 PM, Officer Manning was investigating a suspiciously parked vehicle at the New Mission Heating Company located at 1111 Hillside Boulevard.
