Ray Elvin Andress, aged 31, tragically lost his life on May 7, 1964, in a catastrophic event involving Pacific Air Lines Flight 773. The Fairchild F27A Friendship airliner, on which Andress was serving as the co-pilot, crashed near Danville, California. The incident was a result of a murder-suicide orchestrated by Francisco Paula Gonzales, a 27-year-old passenger.
