Joanne Carol Bettger Parkin, aged 31, tragically lost her life on November 7, 1973, in Acampo, California. Joanne, along with her husband Walter Parkin and their children, Lisa and Robert, were victims of a horrific crime spree perpetrated by Douglas Gretzler and Willie Steelman. The crime spree began in Arizona and culminated in Victor, California, where the Parkin family resided.
