Elizabeth "Lizzie" Harman Lyman, an 81-year-old retired piano teacher, was tragically murdered on May 26, 1980, in Bloomington, California. Born on September 17, 1898, in Dunkirk, New York, Lizzie had dedicated much of her life to teaching piano. Her death was a result of a violent home invasion that shocked the local community and led to a significant criminal investigation.
