Kenneth D. Ell, a 36-year-old deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, tragically lost his life on January 19, 1982, in Westmont, California. Deputy Ell was responding to a call with his partner, Deputy Thomas Hart, to assist other deputies investigating a domestic violence incident.
