Edith Elouise Shaffer, aged 62, tragically lost her life on July 1, 1982, in Manchester, California. Edith, along with her husband Benjamin Shaffer, was a resident of Yuma, Arizona. The couple was visiting Mendocino County when they were brutally murdered. Their bodies were discovered much later, in December 1983, indicating that the crime had gone unnoticed for a significant period.
