Horace Joseph "Big Mac" McKenna, a prominent strip club owner and former California Highway Patrol (CHP) motorcycle officer, met a violent end on March 9, 1989, in Orange County, California. McKenna, known for his larger-than-life personality and towering 6-foot-6 frame, was ambushed by machine-gun fire while waiting in his chauffeured limousine at the gate of his hilltop home in Brea.
